Let r be the radius, c be its circumference, and a be its area.
Then:
c = 2pi * r ........(1)
a = pi * r^2 ........(2)
Dividing (1) by 2*pi:
r = c / (2pi)
= 23 / (2pi).
Substituting this in (2):
a = pi * 23^2 / (4* pi^2)
= 23^2 / (4*pi)
= 529 / (4pi).

note : * = sign of multiplication ; ^ = sign of raised to power

circumference = 2 pi * r { r = radius of the circle }

in ur case the circumference is 23

so 23 = 2 * pi* r

by this relation we can find r

by putting the value of pi as 22 /7 or 3.1428571

so

23 = 2 * 22/7 * r

we can find r now by transferring 2 on the left handside of the equation

23/2 = 22/7 * r

11.5 = 22/7 * r

now we will transfer 22/7 to get the value of r to find the area of the circle

note : while tranferring 22/7 on the left hand sideit will get reciprocaled

11.5*7/22 = r

so 3.65 = r

now area of circle = pi * r ^2

area = 22/7 * 3.65^2

area = 22/7 * 13.32

area = 41.87 squnits

u dint told the unit in ur question other wise if u hav cm or km watever the answer will b in the unit provided to u like if in the question u have 23 cm the answer will b in sq.cm or if it is 23 m it will be sq.m

the circumference is 23 .
therefore C = 23
therefore C = 2 *pie *r ( * = multiplication )
therefore 23 = 2 * 3.14 *r (pie = 3.14 or 22 )
7
therefore 23 * 1 * 1 = r
2 3.14

therefore 11.5 * 1 = r
3.14

therefore 115 * 100 = r
10 314

therefore r = 3.66 ( cm or m )

therefore area of the circle = 2 * pie * r
= 2 * 3.14 * 3.66

= 26.6448 ( sq cm or m )

therefore ur answer is = 26. 6448 ( sq m or cm )

hi....
U have circumfrence=23
circumfrence=2*pi*r
where pi=22/7

by using above formula u get radius r,

then , area A=pi*r*r
u got area.......ok

Divide 23 by 2π to find the radius (2πr = circumference.)
Now the area is πr^2.
That is: radius = 27/2*3.14 = 4.3
Area = 3.14*4.3*4.3 = 58 square something (cms?)

2r*π = Circumference = 23
r = 3.66

Area = (π)(r²)
Area = 3.14 * (3.66)²
Area = 42.1 square units.
