the can says things should dry within 2 hours. Will these boots ever dry? is there anything i can coat them with to make it permanent? Thanks

right, i might try that Kacky. the can doesnt mention anything, but if i found a sealer, might i be ok to just put that on top without wiping off the original coat of paint?

I think you should wipe it off, sand the boots with sandpaper and then try again. The rubber may have a coating on it that prevents the paint from sticking. You'll want to use some kind of topcoat to keep the paint from scraping off. The plasti-koat can may have suggestions on what to use. Maybe you can even scratch a design into the paint before you seal it!

This spray is supposed to be suitable for virtually any surface. Maybe wellies are one of the unsuitable ones. I would try warming using the lowest setting on a hair dryer to speed up drying. That often works with paints but don't overdo it or it will crack.

You may have a long time to wait, try a sealent, or a hairdryer, its just a thought.
