You're asking the impossible. A personal statement is about you: your goals, your aspirations, your dreams. We don't know anything about you. However, if you write one, we would be more than happy to edit for you.

I would suggest that you learn how to write English before you attempt to submit any form of personal statement. Even computer science students must have to do some form of written work. Anyway we get 2 points just for answering your question not a measly 1.

A good start would be to write correctly. Make sure your personal statement is flawless i.e. you know when to use a semi-colon rather than a comma. Try to use 'good' words. Use a thesaurus - I always use this, so that I come across as more eloquent than I really am!

Be really positive about yourself, I know it's difficult but you really need to blow your own trumpet. Try to mention any relevant experience or voluntary work you may have done.

Proof read!!!

Does Sheffield Uni do Computer Science? news to me, good luck with that. Suggest you go sit in the millenium gardens or even better now the good weather is here, the botanical gardens, you should get all the inspiration you want there.

make sure you contain the following:
* why you want to study that course
* what interests you about this subject, and any relevant experience/stuff you have done to support this
* career plans for after the course & future plans
* jobs/work experience/voluntary work - and what you have gained from these
* any other things you have achieved - such as duke of edinburgh award, young enterprise, millenium volunteers, or any other non-accredited things.
* social, sports, leisure interests

Tough one, it is about you after all.
But before you write it here's some tips;

Learn to spell.
Use ALL the letters in the word.
Master the caps-lock key.
Use the occasional comma or full stop.

How can we write a personal statement, when we don't know you? Stop being so lazy and get on with it. How do you expect to complete a university course if you can't even write about yourself?

Even computer geeks need to know how to spell. And given your apparent problem with the caps lock key, perhaps computer science is not the best choice?
