The internet is alive with machines crawling & sifting their way to find vulnerable systems... To get an idea of the scope of this, install 'Zone Alarm' free firewall and let it run for 5 minutes; you'll have a dozen attempts to access your system. Many of the attempts are just 'rattling the doorknob' to see who's open (port wise), but some automated bots seek access through system mis-configurations & loose security settings. Norton, in an attempt to justify itself, has informed you of one of these 'attempts'. A good firewall will stop most of this garbage anyway.

it's nothing , just a reminder abt the work done by ur antivirus software

it blocks and kills all the virus attempting to enter ur system
when u download info from net or use a corrupt cd the antivirus software blocks the virus from entering and tries to clean it

then it informs you the work it has done

so the two messages u have got are by the anti virus prog which had blocked two kinds of virus which were trying to enter ur pc

cheers

first off...GET RID OF NORTON. last year, my laptop was running..well...walking slow so i took it to a repair center. the technician found 57 trojans/viruses. this is after i had paid good money for Norton AntiVirus. the symantec product was 'working' fine...it just sucks. the repair center got rid of all my worries (including norton) and installed AVG which makes the same claim to being a superior product that Norton does. the difference is that AVG is less coslty and actually lives up to its claim...by working.

Either somebody tries to hack your PC or an external device (e. g. printer) tries to access.
