Yes as the call is still connected via a UK service provider and the call technically comes to the UK and then back to Spain. The EU is trying to sort this out at the moment, but you know what its like. It will take ages to sort and even then us Brits will loose out as usual.

Buy a Spanish sim card, and one for the other end of the call as well. That's cheapest. If either end is on a UK sim then it gets expensive.

i just came back from Magaluf, Spain and I advise you not to call from your english number! it'll cost you an arm & a leg...
the best thing you want to do is text them, and to better that, buy a spanish sim card! i paid 10euro for mine, and it was so cheap to call another Spanish number! if you all buy spanish sims, you can keep them for when you next go over too - 10euro each is nothing compared to what your phone bill will be when you get back home!

If its a UK phone, yes. However, most networks have packages that allow you to use you inclusive minutes with just a connection fee of 50p or something. Have a look at your networks website or give them a ring.
