Absolutely, been that way since I got it. (the 360 comes with cables to hook up to a standard TV, it'd better work!!)

i think you are asking about an "rf adapter"
the nintendo and playstation and xbox do not come with the old fashioned "cable wire" connection, funny how they use cable internet tho.
if your tv does not have the new "rca" hookups, then you can use an old vcr or maybe a dvd player, im not sure if A dvd plaer would work, i had to run one thru a vcr. dont buy a new vcr the vcr prices went down to $15 cuz they suck, now they cost $100 againt cuz no one has them anymore they threw em out and they wanna watch an old video ha.
but they are all made differently... if this is your problem, then you need a "360 rf adapter" and yes they do sell them, i see a few online. or go to the store $10-20 and no waits.
you might have a different problem.
your tv might have 10 rca slots in the back or you cant put it on input channel... these problems are better to fix tho
if your tv has more than 3 "rca" plugs, then you gotta plug the cords in the right ones...
yellow cord: video in (input) (360 out to TV IN)
white cord: left speaker in (or mono one speaker sound)
red cord : right speaker in...
your tv may have ten inputs and ten outputs...
if you, you gotta find video in (input) #1 and you gotta put the sound into the #1 input slots... otherwise you may have your 360 video on input channel #1 and the sound on input channel #2... most tvs only have one or 2 input channels.... 3 plugs in the front, one for video, 2 for sound... and same on the back...
if you have an expensive tv or a good one or a high definition tv, hd tv has over 5 plugs on the back and you just gotta look at them they are labled to see what goes where... then change the game on, and the tv on input channel, or channel #0 or you may need a new tv remote to set the channel to input if you lost the original remote... the games can be set up in 30 seconds once you get the hang of it. but experience is measured in years, and it takes years for kids to learn to play games. and it took a year to write this...
you gotta hold the xbox button on the controller to get it on sometimes.

The 360 should work on any tv. The AV cables you have plugged in should be the regular ones, not the HD ones and you should alos have your console set to display on regular, not HD. It should be a little switch on the end of the AV cables that plugs into the console.
