I add an organic liquid sea-weed fertiliser which does wonders for mine.
I avoid synthetic fertilisers, as these are salt based and are not so good - in my opinion.
Vitax in the UK produce a range of seaweed fertilisers - you just dilute the concentrated liquid with water. Otherwise, chose 1 with a relatively high Potassium level - the K in the N-P-K mix

Fertilse more once flowering/trusses start, is the general methodology.
You could also try making your own fertiliser, from nettles and comfrey. Add some to a bucket and stand for a couple of weeks, then dilute to about 1 part in 10 parts of water. Perhaps you could trial this with an odd plant or 2 and compare your results.
Good luck! Rob

Tomato plants are poision to birds as well as avacado, chocolate. Plant some bean sprouts for him good for birds and give him fresh veggeis and fruits. Mine eat celery, apples, oranges, and loves boiled eggs and i mash the yolk and give 1/2 tesp for dinner. Also pizza crust, spaghetti smashed up a lil bit. Check out poision plants on the internet or ask an avain vet. Don't delay before you lose a bird

if you can make comfrey leaf liquid feed that works, or the organic version of miracle gro. it is a low nitrogen high potash feed you need. if you grow them in grow bags there is only enough feed in them for a couple of weeks so they will need to be fed often after that. have fun!!!!

Fish Emulsion = nitrogen that tomatoes crave. They love it. MiracleGro is also very good for all vegies.
