No one can know dude. It's in the New Testament, some of the earlier and later parts of the Koran and the Buddha himself says it. Left Behind is totally wrong because it uses Christianity to try to predict something that Christianity itself says cannot be predicted. As a Catholic I would recommend the parts of the Bible just before Jesus' death when he talks about the Kingdom that is yet to arrive.

If you're a Muslim, the Quran has some verses that are far more direct and helpful and, by God, actually sometimes more "useful" than the Bible.

As a Catholic though, your best bet is the Gospel and possibly some of the non fear-mongering parts of Revelation.

PS: According to the Book of Revelation, there will be a 1000-year-peace before the end of all things. Then the "devil will be let out for a while." Armageddon is falsely named as the end of things when Armageddon is merely the place of battle (and there's no indication that that's even planet Earth).

To answer this question, one must also ask what is meant by the end? The end of Humanity? Or the End of all life on Earth? The End of the Planet Earth itself?

To end Humanity, I think will not be as easy as everyone thinks. Some will always survive, adapt and evolve. Nuclear War, Celestial Impacts, Toxic Gases, Cataclismic Events, Pandemics, surely Some will survive and rebuild.

To bring an end to all life on Earth, is almost impossible, surely something, a single cell a dormant seed of somekind will survive for a rebirth. There are viruses that carry DNA and are capable of exposure to space and radiation.

And to destroy our world, would be unlikley. Even if it were to be destroyed, it would swirl into dust and begin again.

There is no point in worrying about the end of this world, because every world must end.

Every mind is a world on it's own.

Future is uncertain and unpredictable... therefore even whether the world will ever end is something we can not be sure of... the earth may become inhabitable for us, but we may find an alternate host body to earth and the process may just go on and on. On the other hand, the world may come to an end through a major celestial event any time!!! If we can't say about any single small life as to when it would end, how is it possible to agree that anyone can tell or forecast either the time or mode of the end of the world?

If you are a christian and believe in the holy bible, or even if you don't necessarily believe it, but would be interested in reading what the holy bible says about the end of the world, read the book of revelations. Quite interesting. My simplified view is that there will be a third world war, and some country in the middle east will get their hands on nuclear warfare, and actually use it. Man will become extinct.

Well, we have seen some amazing and destructive things in the past few years but we have seen some more destructive things through out history so maybe all this could be a sign or the world ending or my personall take on this matter which is I think it will get a whole lot worse.

.Hi If i new the answer to that i could become quiet wealthy! Seriously though we can only guess what the outcome will be.
When we talk of the world ending we assume it is going to be destroyed but it could mean the world as we know now is going to be transformed to a new level of perfection. It may even become "Heaven"

My beliefs are Heaven is not yet complete. There is no one in Heaven except God.Mary and the Angels.
Every human on earth dead and alive has to be judged first. And that won't happen until Christ comes again to judge us. These are my beliefs only .
Cheers.

It won't. And even if it does it wouldn't matter how, would it? Still I believe it won't. We humanity, we the people, have found ways out of many dificult situations with far less knowledge and resources. We'll always find a way out regardless of the gravity of the situation because we are survivors.
Don't listen to the whining sissies proclaiming the end of the world to explain their own impotence.

The Earth will be destroyed by the Vogons to make room for a hyperspace expressway in the year 27,569. This, of course, is a Vogon date. You'll have to extrapolate the Earth date.

Don't lose your towel...

if we somehow create defense weapon to protect us from meotoras and all.......the chances of such kind of destruction is ruled out

We have figured out many ways by which natural disasters can cause very less damage(tsunami and volcanoes being acception....soon they too can be ruled out out due to the pace of on going development)

this one really freeks me out-

the earth is changing its magnetic field.....now scientists r sure that 1 day without notice it will change polarities suddenly and every thing will go hay wire

though the sun has a very long life......one day it will to have its supernova(not rockstar) and will create a black hole......now u know wat will happen after that....now before that we can goto other galaxies

the moon is moving away from us.....if at a certain distance the gravitation effect of moon becomes very less.....the axis of earth will change and cause ultimate disaster

With a BANG!

An enormous meteorite will hit the earth ... several have already come close, and it's just a matter of time before one hits us ... dead on. :(
