Buying veggies and meat you'll find a huge price difference depending where the goods are from. Imported goods from Brazil, New Zeeland and Argentina (meat) are much more expensive then meat from India and Pakistan. Same for veggies. For imported vegetable from the Netherlands and France you pay a much higher price than goods coming from Saudi, India and Oman.

Go to: http://www.carrefouruae.com/English/our-sections-freshfood.asp
and click on the catagory and then: "show items of our brands" and you will find many more information about prices in Dubai.

Hope you can do some calculation now.
Take care.

I do not know the prices of things in Dubai except at the airport, where coffee costs at least 21 Dirham. Someone I know lives with her husband in Dubai. At least twice a year they fly back to South Africa with empty suitcases and fill it with as much shopping as possible, including food where they can. Does this answer your question? I get the impression everything is exceedingly expensive there. I travel abroad a lot and decided not to stay over in Dubai, partly because of the insane prices. I therefore simply used the airport as a transit point.
