I've been hanging around this girl for almost 10 yrs. She has betrayed my trust a few times. We have nothing in common. I have been a great friend over the years, but she hasnt. Should I giver her another chance or call it quits? And if I call it quits should I tell her?

I went through that for 16 years, and finally I had enough. I told her exactly why I could not be friends with her, and she acted as if she did not even care. As a matter of fact, she even tried to start rumors about me to get me back. That is when I realized that she had never actually been a friend at all. She was using me.

Sounds just like my old "frenemies" whom I used to call "best friends". I stressed all of the time about how crappy they could be to me. Ending a friendship sucks, but putting energy into a dead end friendship is a waste of time. I've met so many awesome people, people that don't talk crap behind my back and don't make me feel uncomfortable just by being myself...people who don't take up all of my energy to maintain a relationship with. So will you. I vote end it, if it's worth saving, your friends should realize it and put forth the proper effort to do so. I'm much happier now without my "frenemies". And yes, definitely tell her why.

Just walk away. What you have here is the start of a bad relationship. If you fool yourself enough you may stick around and get really hurt. Just move on down the road and find someone who is nice to you and you can be nice to.

If it were your best friend asking this question wouldn't you give him the same answer?

Good luck

you have follow the good friends rule, but she doesnt have.
if the friend betray, it direct affect to heart. & heart once shattered take year to joint back, so dear you have bear somuch shaken why you want to bear another shake, then go for quit, one friend who repeat the same mistake, & put your friendship on edge then why you wants to continue.
take abold decision, call her for dine & then after dne told her, so that she remorse long for her act.

Depends on how you feel around her. Do you guys have fun and are you in a "happy" place when you are with her, or do you have negative feelings around her and resent her? If she is dragging you down ditch her. No one needs friends like that. Depends on the kind of person you are about telling her. Maybe just slowly start backing off and avoiding phone calls.

Hope this helps!

I'd say call it quits. If you've been a great friend and she hasn't, then she doesn't really care about you.

Don't say anything, then you cannot be accused of causing a rift. Just drift away and find other interests that don't involve her. She will fade away from you life slowly without any issues.
