Whatever business it may be. The fundamental thing to do is market research. Determining the scale and services of the retail stores should be left to your customers.
The way of doing market research easily is to employ a few people to do the research. Prepare a questionare containing relevant questions regarding the retail store. Like in which location do u suggest the store to be opened.
Do you want home delivery?, most purchased items? etc. All these suggestions should be considered. And i'm sure success will follow. Best of luck

That is strictly the factor of a marketing strategy. Check out your regional library for books as a way to aid you suppose of matters that you will be overlooking. Many books present pattern plans.
