I worked for insurance companies for years. The best thing that you can do is educate yourself completely on your products and keep positive energy. One of the best salesmen we had used to get his hair cut at a salon rather than a barber shop. This way you're in an environment where you have to sit for 15+ minutes with someone who expects you to be talking. He eases them into the conversation, and gets quite a few sales out of it once other hair dressers hear what he's offering. Just a tip.

If you have a legitimate and quality product, you do not have to 'sell' it. You merely show your clients the Benefits your products provide and the dangers/risks they assume if they to not properly insure themselves.

Simply do this ... EDUCATE your customers about your products. When they understand the benefits of insurance and the risks of going 'bare', they will buy.

View your job as being a TEACHER. Of course, you must become thoroughly educated on your subject first.

Best wishes and good luck.
