I suggest she go off the pill for a bit and you both use other forms of contraception, just to see if the pill is the culprit. I started going on the pill 3 years ago and I had a constant period, but only of a teeny teeny amount (spotting). I got sick of it, went of it, I then had my normal period and normal periods monthly after that. The pill sometimes has strange effects on some people.
Did you tell the doctor the problem about the pill? If the test at the docs was negative, then pregancy is out.
Its either the pill...ie. go off it.
Or stress, physically or mentally.
Or perhaps a medical condition?

First what kind of pill is she on? There are some pills that are taken to prolong the period to a only a few a year (every 3 months or so). I am on the typical pill Ortho-trycylen (montly periods). Been on it for 4 years now. I think in the beginning I had irregular periods due to it...but after about 3 months they became steady. Your best bet is to call the Gyno and ask them. Maybe read the information that comes with the pills to see if it states anything in there. If a blood test for pregnancy was failed chances are great that she's not pregnant. I would give it another month after calling the gyno to regulate.

Sometimes it takes time for the pill to regulate your periods. It's not uncommon for someone to go months without a period while on the pill. If she takes the pill every day the pill is 99% effective against pregnancy.
Give it alittle time and if it still bothers her tell her to discuss it with the doctor that prescribed the pills.

did she stop after three weeks to have her period? you dont just take them everyday and then get them...she has to not take any to get her period. some pacls come in 21 some in 28...the extra 7 in the 28 are only sugar pills with no medication...easier to stay in the habit of taking them...see which one she has.

Stress can cause you not to have a period. Anorexia can cause you not to have a period. There can be other factors, such as health that can cause you note to have a period. Sometimes you are just irregular. If you are concerned, talk to your gynecologist.
