Energy, it only gets exhausted if the love comes to an end, Physical exhaustion is totally besides the point.

It depends a lot on the situation. If the love is returned the energy is improved. This can be good as long as it does not interfere with proficient study or work. If the love is not returned one can be depressed (and therefore pseudo-tired).
Love in itself never causes exhaustion although it could inspire you to engage in exhausting activities.

Energy! When in love, you'll hurt yourself without knowing. Exhaustion is when the love is over, and you realize just how far you went. This is also the same for sex.
