not sure if this really counts but in January I was pulled over by the police for not wearing a seatbelt. He told me about a accident that happened in the early hours of the same day which had resulted in at least one death. From his description of the crash (location, age of those involved etc.) I had a gut feeling it would involve one of my best friends. I decided to ignore the feeling. It turned out it was my mates, and although my best friend survived and is now nearly back to normal, another of my friends died. Don't know if i regret anything there 'cause there's not much I could have done, but I would have been there in that first week when people need the support etc.

Each time I walk by I regret it. When I was on my own I'd volunteer alot but now that I'm responsible to others, I can't take on other folk's problems. It's too much and seems never ending.

Today. I saw an old friend in the store. I thought that he probably wouldn't recognize me, so I just kept walking. Later I wished I would have just said hello.

The time I saw a bit of pinkish-red paper on the pavement in the rain - only to realise later that it might have been a £50 note ! ! !

Reminds me of that song sung so well by Mr. Isaac Hayes, "Walk on By." The song suggests it was foolish pride, and yes, that is regrettable. However, you are always faced with choices, and by sheer number, you have to let some of them go.

a couple of weeks ago at work, i was in a hurry and i saw a slice of lemon on the floor. i didn't pick it up and when i came back a supervisor was laying across the floor with her leg twisted at a strange angel. i was mortified, thank goodness she was only bruised.

What did I walk by? I can't regret something if I don't know what it is.
