Usually about 3000 - 5000 miles or on average every 3 months depending how often you are driving your vehicle for the next oil change. A common oil grade is 10-W30 and you would probably need about 4 - 5 quarts, never add more than what is recommended for your car. Most newer vehicle don't use water in the radiators anymore but if you feel that the coolant level is low (there is an indicator on the fluid bottle) then fill it to the appropriate level (you should see a line or plastic inprint on the bottle). Flushing your radiator should be done at least every other year to clear any deposits that might be floating around in your radiator or engine, this can be seen if your coolant appears brown or really murky or dark in color. Flushing the radiator is faily simple and this can be done at home rather than going to a mechanic. If you're unsure about what type of coolant/ antifreeze to purchase i would suggest a 50/50 mix. If you get the regular antifreeze you will have to use distilled water not regular tap or water from a spout. There is a basic set of directions in the back of the antifreeze bottle that give a basic idea of how to flush your radiator.

check the oil after it's changed, many shops say they did it right, but...
good rule of thumb is check the oil once a week or at every oil change. It takes a minute but can cost thousands if left unattended. Check the water when the engine is cold. Car dealerships and mechanics will tell you that you don't need to check your car's fluid because it is fine. Just remember that they are in the business of selling new engines. Good look and you can never learn too much.

The older (more milage) on the car the more freq. you should check. I recommend 2000 miles or once a month - depending on where you drive (type) and temp range where you are. As tempertures go up / down fast over night you need to watch your water and Tire pressure more often. Oil if the car does not burn it or leak, check it every 2000 or if you are lazy just change it every 3000.
ALso this time of year check all your light bulbs, a lot of them will burn out now that the cold weather is over and heat is causing expansion on the chassis.

If your car is new you may want to do it every other 4th week, depending on how many miles you drive.
For an older car, I would recommend every other tankful of gas, and definately have the oil serviced every 3 to 3.5k miles. Depending on where you get the oil changed, you may want to ask to ensure they are checking all the fluids in your car. Some places will show you where to look so that you can monitor in between visits.

Usually oil is changed every 3000 miles or 3 months but some newer cars can go longer. Coolant is usually changed annually but some cars don't require it to be changed for several years. This is why you should look in your owners manual rather than going by some general schedule.

depends on how much you use it. I drive about 4 miles a day, everyday and i check my oil every 2 weeks. My coolant i check along with the oil, espically living in phoenix. Overheating is a big no deal. Be sure to change your oild every 2500 miles!

As a driver and owner. You should check your fluid levels everyday. You never know if you sprang a leak or have an existing leak that you are unaware of.By checking your fluids everyday or before going on a trip. You can be assured of driving and not ruining anything.
