i just dont understand it...i was with a girl for 3 years..she leaves for a complete asshole who beats her verbally and physically..yet me..never laid a hand on a women never have..been verbally abusive but nothing as crazy as words spoken from this assholes mouth.. How can a women go from being so happy and never goes a day without a smile on her face to a guy that upsets her and abuses her..what the hell?

Brainstorm options:
1) Low self esteem. She can't see his flaws because of her own and spends much of her time blaming herself for what's wrong. Eventually, she will turn the situation around after about a year and use his flashes of temper to win every argument. Then after he's so speechless he can't win, she'll leave and say he was a loser. Ultimately, she treats people (including herself) like disposable objects and she's doomed to misery. Celebrate in your victory.
2) Great sex/drugs. Something about the guy gives her a physical high that she craves or she's doing drugs with him. Either way it's a physical attraction she'll bore with in time. Again, things.
3) Money. And more pretty things.
Generally, men want 3 things, sex, money and companionship. Women want 3 things, money, sex and companionship. If you can provide 2 you've got a relationship. Only 1 and it's asta la vista....
What I can tell you for certain considering how hot you are is that you need to start doing some things for YOU. Go buff up, get the money and boost the brain. Get the confidence up and she's going to be a faded memory. Before you pick the next girlfriend be warned, we typically chose the same person every time until we find out what was wrong in the first place. Pick someone who makes you want to be better and better every day in every way. THAT is the right person to chose.

There must be something that she likes about the guy and that something is obviously more important to her than getting beat up. It's sad, I know, but the truth is, nothing anybody says to her will change her mind. She may never leave him and if she does it's usually after many many fights and her getting fed up with it. I'm a woman and to be honest with you, I can't even totally explain why woman do this to themselves.
Keep talking to her...don't give up on her, she's gonna need you after it's all done and over with.

It's an age old question. They actually don't have love for theirselves. They pick who treats them the way the think they deserve to be treated. If she loved herself and had more self worth she wouldn't want anything to do with someone who treats her this way. It is really sad, and there is nothing you can do to change her mind. She has to want better for herself. And if you don't let her go then you are kinda doing the same thing by wanting someone who doesnt' want more. Hope that makes since to you. Wishing you luck!

Not all of us are like that.But some females(although sick in the head)like to feel like victims.They like the drama.(most woman find drama to be exhausting,I know i do) They like to look like they need to be rescued.They actually seek that sh*t out. It's like they have a screw missing. Was she a drama queen when she was with you? Don't be confused.You sound like a pretty good guy.(except for the verbally abusive part,cut that out!) I originally thought females were just stupid for doing that, im not sure if its entirely their fault. I get a feeling its someware in the makeup of themselfs they think they arnt good enough to score a decent guy so she gets stuck with a woman basher.

Maybe her family was that way -- violent and abusive. Maybe that's what she grew up with, and that was her version of normal.
I also think a lot of women confuse 'masculinity' with 'abusive behavior'.
How do you know what goes on in their relationship, is she telling you?
