Red blood cells are not the same size in all organisms. I found a very interesting article about this topic at: http://www.genomesize.com/rgregory/reprints/BCMD.pdf

Look at page 6 of the article for a sketch of the relative sizes of red blood cells in different animal groups.

it varies in size from organism 2 organism and the most different case is in the camel where they have oval RBC , where its circular in all organism
