Banks never even played in the Series; such is the fate of a Cubs player.
Greatest never to win? Ted, followed by Ty Cobb, then Barry and ARod, both of whom still have the chance.
Lotsa greats from the 19th century, but they probably don't count since the World Series as we know it didn't exist then.

First of all I can't believe that Barry Bonds is even mentioned in the same manner with 1st class guys like Ernie Banks or Clemente!!!
I am not a Yankees fan but I would have to go with Ted Williams. In my book he is one of the greatest ever with or without a ring.

Clemente has been in two world series, and the Pirates won both of them. 1960 against the Yankees, and 1971 against the Orioles. He had his time in the fall classic spotlight, trust me.
I'd have to go with Ted Williams who was one of the greatest hitters of all time for this question. And for anyone even thinking about Cal Ripken for this question, he caught a line drive for the final in the 1983 world series when the Orioles beat the Phillies.

a number of those comments are surely ridiculous. Baseball is the only precise in group activities. in assessment to basketball and soccer (to a lesser quantity), one participant can no longer carry an entire group by a season to a championship. The season is see you later which you relatively desire a mix of robust play from all 25 gamers on the lively roster and a touch of success as nicely. In Williams' case (and lots of different greats than by no potential gained a hoop), he can not administration a vulnerable pitching group or a detrimental helping solid. All gamers like that can do is bypass out, play to the final of their skills and desire/pray that a number of their immaculate skill rubs off on the the remainder of the group. Mr. B - by your argument Bernie Williams is a a techniques better participant to Ken Griffey, Jr. via fact he gained distinctive jewelry. each and every person that knows of something approximately baseball knows of that Williams would not carry a candle to Griffey, so your good judgment is incorrect and truly incorrect.
