Can someone please tell me what was Fisher's claim in regard's to Mendel's results.

Fisher claimed that Mendel's reported results of offspring phenotype ratios were too close to the expected to have occurred by chance. He suggested that Mendel may have kept collecting data until he got close to the expected and then stopped.
