Who knows? It's hard for me to understand personally, but I know a lot of people like that and it's annoying. I don't see why anyone would want to have people focusing on them all the time, and want everyone to know everything about them, but some people do.

Oh Harvey..funny I spoke of that in your last Q...they are in need of any kind of attention....lack of self esteem...insecurity..jealousy toward others..wanting to be someone they are not...the list goes on.
I think a lot of this stems from childhood..children not given the proper attention...encouragement.love from parents..may even have deep rooted psychological problems..that need the help of a psychiatrist ...I know people like this..and tried to be friends..but I could not handle their actions..not to mention their reactions. Way to much drama..and they really never seem to be able to keep a real friend..so self absorbed in getting attention..they in no way are capable of giving attention..and resent someone who is getting attention. Not to mention I had one friend..who wanted attention so bad all the time..she was embarrassing to go anywhere with..and she was a rude person..to others she found as a threat to her attention..she would even act that way towards me!
So I say Ciao to anyone like that..and now I do not entertain attention seekers. Really it is sad..they lose alot.
Ciao!
