"When the power of love overcomes the love of power... the world will know world peace"
-- Jimi Hendrix
Thats my answer lol
When people COME TOGETHER to make a difference a change will come.
Also here's some motivational quotes that I believe relate to this...
"If someone thinks that love and peace is a cliché that must have been left behind in the Sixties, that's his problem. Love and peace are eternal. "
-- John Lennon
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
--Margaret Mead

I'm sure that eventually the world will unite, unless of course we destroy each other or an external force does first. You have to look at things like this over history - thousands of years ago, there were small settlements constantly battling their neighbors for land and food. Hundreds of years ago, a similar situation however many smaller nations were united under a more powerful nation (think the empires - Roman, Persian, etc.). More recently, with globalization, there are even greater alliances such as NATO and the European Union. There are far less chances for conflict now then ever before. Think about it - there is the west versus the middle east and the east. That's about it. The world is basically divided into those three parts, when just a few hundred years ago, there were many, many different nations at war.
The pessimists like to think that peace can never be achieved but come on, the trends show that it can be. The world becomes a smaller place every year. And I do believe that peace is obtainable with time and cooperation. We are much closer to it now then we think - we just need to unite the three major sides together.

No. A world at peace is not a world that I would accept. There are too many reasons that we all can't get along. If there ever comes a day when the entire world is at peace with each other, that will mean that someone has engineered a way to control minds and there would be no point in living.

As long as the hearts of men are unsettled and in a state of flux, so the outward world will reflect the inner world. When the peace, true peace is in the heart of man, and then it may be in the hearts of his family. Then, from there, to the community. while the hearts of men are under duress, so the world will suffer.
There will be peace, but it may be the same kind of peace that Mulder wished for on the X-Files when he found that Jinn wrapped up in a carpet in a storage facility.

honestly, no.
I believe that wold peace is an impossibility. Its not because i am a negative person and don't see the bright side, its just that people around the world are too different. Everybodys differences is what causes problems and not willing to see each others' views.
As long as there is diversity in the world, i believe that there will not be global peace.

Because people in general cannot widen their circle of interest (most peoples' is very narrow), there will always be conflict.
The root of this is that people think that they ARE their bodies, and have no sense of their own conscious selves. Catering only for the bodily demands creates a kind of wicked selfishness, albeit sometimes covered with superficial 'manners' or 'culture'.
Real peace can be attained when a significant number of people take their own self-interest seriously as per the info in the link.
Good Luck!

The religions say, "Pray for World Peace" but they know that most of the conflicts in the World are caused by religions who can't agree on God. You will never have World Peace as long as you have religion.

some folk think its possible we only need everyone to treat all others honorably.
There is research that evil starts in childhood, when children are neglected and abused. As society has evolved this abuse has gone down, and with it tolerance for cruelty. It is hard to believe but it really has been much worse in the past.
Still the Gang Of Pirates advance their agenda by advocating child cruelty so we will have yet another generation of monsters to deal with, until All children are raised humanely.
Only then will there be a generation of people who will end war.

From a biblical standpoint the answer to your question is NO!
And if you follow the way God revealed His plan and purpose by revealing Himself to us humans through Christ, Jesus, the answer has to be NO again because Jesus said that He came into this world not to bring peace but DIVISION!
Division in the family, in peoples , in nations of the world through conflict; and conflict is WAR!
In other words, Jesus came to us to bring us peace with God not peace amongst ourselves
When SIN came into this world, Man has been judged by God already and Man has been an enemy of God ever since. Jesus is the only mediator between Man and God in order for Man to be at peace with God.
I hope I have been able to help you with this reply (I didn't invent or formulated this reply...God revealed these thoughts and ideas through Scriptures).
