last Nov, the Dems said they would do something about high gas prices. Now, they're blaming it on a failed Bush administration.
I don''t understand this? When they said they'd do something did I make a mistake and assume that they''d do something that worked???

I know what you mean. All I hear is Bush criticism..without action. I think both parties are more worried about blaming each other and trying to make the other look bad than paying attention to the real people of America.

Reducing gas prices was never part of the Democratic platform, I'm not sure where you got that idea from. Both the political parties claim gas prices are beyond their control - they are both correct unless we want to start implementing price controls (aka communism).

As far as the issues that they actually did run on:
Raising minimum wage - Passed both houses of congress, vetoed by President Bush.
Promoting stem cell research - Passed both houses of congress, vetoed by President Bush.
Moving towards an exit from Iraq - Passed both houses of congress, vetoed by President Bush.
Ethics reform - Passed both houses of congress.
Better financial aid so high school graduates can attend college - Passed both houses of congress.
Roll back Republican tax breaks for the wealthy - No action unfortunately.
Improve our country's relationship with the rest of the world - In progress, and going better than I ever expected.
Reduce dependency on fossil fuels for energy - So far just talk, but even inaction is better than Republicans' tax breaks for oil companies.

I hope that cleared things up for you.

They can only address so many issue at once. The Republicans left everything in such a mess, it's all the Dems can do to keep their heads above water.

The Iraq War is on the table right now and it's consuming all available resources, as it should.

Communists can't run anything all they know how to do is control the ppl. I hate to say it but the democratic party is finished. I'd say they're going to learn of this over the next.....oh...... two or three months. They showed their hand way too much at this last midterm, and screwed alot of ppl in the process. but don't worry, because that'll be coming to light soon enough.;) Have a nice day.

The dems seem to have no solutions - only blame and criticism.
Their political band standing will be their ultimate downfall. Like the ol' saying - you can fool all of the people some of the time and you can fool some of the people all the time - but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

Have you ever heard the left acknowedge fault for anything?
Even when their own election campaign fails they look to blame somebody else.

The left in France is no different than the left here.
