My husband has left me about three times and now he is with another woman. I live in a no fault state, so I have heard that there is nothing I can do about getting a divorce on the grounds that he commited adultery. Is this true or is there something that I can really do? We also have four minor children involved and believe me, if I could afford a divorce it would have been done a long time ago. Please help me!!!

O.K. I should have explained better....
I live with my mom now and he lives with his g/f. He is court ordered to pay child support already, but only for two of the children (in between his job that he keeps quiting) and I am fighting with child support enforcement right now to add the other two on that order. In the meantime, I cannot afford to pay for daycare so therefor I couldn't get a job if I wanted (not to mention I nurse my ten month old who WILL NOT take a bottle to save his life).

Thank you all so much for the answers but I am afraid to take my children to him because of drugs and smoking in the house and my baby has asthma and all of them have allergies so the smoke really bothers them all. I know I am not supposed to, but I make him come to my house to see them for that reason and because when he does come to see them (maybe once or twice every few months), he tends to lay in the room with them and fall asleep. So I end up taking care of them anyways. One time he burned a pot of water on the stove because he fell asleep. I don't think I could handle leaving them alone with him for more than maybe an hour or two and only at my house.

I think you should get this jerk out of your life. Just think of what he will do to your children in the long run and the example he is giving your kids. I've looked up some information on "No fault." I hope it helps and good luck to you.
Part 2. My heart really goes out to you. The depth of your pain and disappointment in him really comes through. What a wasteful man, to throw away a wonderful family and for what? I can only pray that God will give you wisdom in what to do next and maybe in the future bring you a man who will love you and your children as much as you deserve.

Go to www.nvo.com and gather all the information that you can regarding this issue.
You may find a loophole to get out of the marriage. If not, there are ways for a no fault divorce to be granted. since i do not know the history I cannot give you the advice. But if you go to that site, you can address the issues there.

I don't believe that you can't divorce just b/c your in a so called "no fault state". You really need to start doing your homework if you want to improve your life AND....you should have done that after THE FIRST TIME he cheated on you. Don't ever wait until strike 3. There's this saying: "A man will only do what you allow him to do".
FOCUS ON YOUR KIDS. They need you more than you need your cheating husband.

How could you tolerate a cheat---3 TIMES ??? Are you a glutton for punishment??? March the kids over to where he is--drop them off and take off for a week--they are his too. You can do that--no problem. Money is not an excuse for this situation---surely something or family or someone will help with a lawyer. get the facts and then get moving---I would dump the kids at his house---there is nothing saying you have to keep them. School?? tough--let him figure it out. Why waste your sanity on him and his kids---get going.

no fault means just that; doesn't matter whether one or both people committed adultery..........get a divorce .... get child support to help raise those kids.....make sure you have everything covered too all the way through getting those kids through college......don't forget half his pension he has accrued during the marriage and half of any vested 401K that has accrued.
You are going to have to give up nursing the 10 month old and get a job...........get help with daycare from the State.

adultery More or less is hard to prove. well any way he has to pay support for the kids. you to if you can't work do to the kids. now look it will take about 80.00 for that divorce. you can do it on your p/c. all the paper work free. and the 80.00 is for filing. make sure you get all that you can get from that bum
