Saying what it's for is too specific to understand
basically I'm just using it to plate an object so it will have an aluminum surface. I don't need quality b/c it is sorta disposable (something I can just pick up anywhere and not have to find a metal store to pay more for something I don't need).

As some of the others have stated, you can purchase metal sheets (steel, tin, brass, aluminum, etc) at various building supply, craft stores, perhaps even the local welding supply.
Another source would be your newspaper printer.... Many newspapers use aluminum plates in their presses, and after theyve been banged up a bit, they have to replace them. You can buy a stack of them for little to no cost.
Good Luck

Lowe's, Home Depot have various widths rolls of thin aluminum in the roofing section of the stores. The metal is thin and easy to bend and shape.

You can buy sheets of aluminum cheap at a metal shop......
The question is.... what are you using it for?
Aircraft grades such as 2024t3, 6061t6, and 7075t6 are very expensive. I know ALOT about aluminum grades and uses, so if you have a specific question about what would be the best for what you need..........add on to your question, and ill be glad to help

Why not try aluminum siding. Local building supply stores may just give you a sample or a leftover cut piece.

I'd go with aluminium siding. I'm sure most installers would be delighted to let you have a piece of offcut from their scrap bin.
