I have just upgraded my laptop and now have two 512mb RAM sticks just sitting around. Are there companies that will buy your old RAM from you? Are there orginizations that will take RAM donations (schools, libraries, etc..)? It just seems like I should be doing something with it. If you have any ideas please let me know.

The company that sold you the new RAM usually are able to take back the old RAM and recylcle it

Or you can send it to me, because my old comp only has 512 total. (:

nicely to no longer say however the specs you take place to show are especially previous. do no longer understand whether DDR1 RAMs are even available now a days yet, specific with that config I assure you which you would be effective with yet another 512MB. And, in case you're having 3 empty memory slots, permit me tell to you the board you have stated might have some issues in case you fill 3 of the 4 available memory slots so the two upload one 512MB or upload 2 1GB RAMs and get rid of the previous 256MB RAM. yet another better decision do no longer improve this fairly shop this for experimenting and purchase a custom build interior of a funds of INR 30,000.

Put them up for sale on craigslist. Might get $20 or so for them. Better than wasting them.

512 each is not bad I would hang onto them, or i'm sure a small pc store will give you something
