why is it that when I type in a answer or any other chat room or even email
www.yahoo.com
or any othet popular sight it gets turned into a clickable link. but when I type
www.shopattoms.com
it never gets a clickable link??

Auto-detecting links usually require http:// in the front to know that it's a hyperlink reference. There are some programs that will auto-detect if it doesnt have this, sometimes the only requirement is that the word end in .com or .net or .org.

It's all up to the program and how it's made to auto-detect things. None that I know of are based on a set list of URLs. This would be plain dumb in the programming side.

So the more likely problem is that you simply need the http://. So try it next time and find out.

I suspect the major websites (yahoo etc), may be paying for this, while the smaller ones "www.shopattoms.com", aren't/can't
