i have made one. i post alot on comic book and toy groups on myspace and met up with a dude i trade comics and toys with through the mail. not to long ago my grandmother passed away and i posted something about it on my page. he sent a mass card along with a very thoughtful letter and i was actually really moved that he cared that much and made the effort. since then we write each other actual letters, and on my last birthday when i turned 30 he sent me a card and cool gift and i am looking forward to returning the favor in a couple months.

Yes, I have, but not recently. I have met in real life several of the people who I had originally met online. I am still friends with some of them. Sadly, one of them has died. He was there for me during some of the hardest stuff I went through though and I am so grateful for him.

I don't consider these people who I have met online to be "honest to goodness" friends unless I have also met them in real life. But then when I do meet them, who knows what happens next? It has all been good so far!

I don't see how. To me you would actually have to meet them in person before you could become an honest to goodness friend with them because everything said on-line could be a lie. A man or a woman could even actually be the opposite sex for all we know, let alone an entirely different age, or could be a molester and goodness knows what else. I could tell you anything I wanted and you could do the same with me or anyone else. I just don't see how it would be possible to become HONEST friends on-line. Sorry! :o)

Not really, but I do have one specific "pen pal" from Ethiopia that I try to talk to at least once a week. We don't chat, but send each other long emails - almost like to normal post.

Yes, actually. I've made so many good friends online; some of them are better and more connected to me than my real life friends.

i've made a few good friends and one amazing boyfriend online. it's nice to have people that i like so much that i would have never met if it wasn't for the wonders of technology.

no. i had one that was named dave and he was quasi cool for like a yaer, then he got really really shady and started f*cking with me and asking all these weird questions. then he got to busy for me.

another guy was cool for a few months, then he kept wanting to meet me and treat me to some crab soup.

i wasnt' interested so he started being really mean to me when i'd im him saying i was boring and he was busy holding conversations with other people in different langauges to talk to me.

so i blocked him and he started emailing me like crazy. so i blocked emails. after another couple months, i unblocked him and he immediately started harassing me again.
