how long is the mating pocess of oscars?

i have two Oscars that are coupled separated and i am trying to find out when its safe to bring my other oscar back in he tank without it bing attacked by the male of the couple. thanks

If you can construct a tank divider,(I use fluorescent lighting grid diffuser material) the fish will tell you when the time is right.
