You're 32 and your asking for fashion advice? Wear what you can afford and what you are comfortable wearing.

You are in an interesting transitional age. You don't want to look like a kid but you're not ready for the black socks & sandals crowd either. : )

If you are fit, then wear slim, classic jeans.

Chinos and khakis are a good way to upgrade your to a more business casual look if worn w/ a long sleeve shirt.

"Upgrade" your foot wear - i.e. wear stylish leather shoes more often than tennis shoes. Try some Teva or Keen flip flops instead of the thin, cheap ones.

Instead of tee shirts w/ logos, try knit sport shirts w/ collars (polo shirts) and short sleeve shirts that button up in front w/ a patterned fabric (pattern instead of solid to avoid looking like a missionary).

Invest in a couple of classic leather belts and a good jacket/overcoat.

GQ is a good magazine for men. The prices of the featureed items are outrageous but it is a good men's fashion source.

Here are some online stores & websites for reference:

www.landsend.com - excellent source for ties, l/s shirts, belts & pants; be sure to check out the overstock section for great bargains.

www.zappos.com - check out Timberland, Clarks & Kenneth Cole Reaction

www.bluefly.com - designer goods @ discount prices. They had some great overcoats this past winter. It is also a good source for trendy items that you can splurge on w/o breaking the bank.

for a few ideas for hair cuts

As for dept. stores, BR = good for upscale looks;hold out for sales

Old Navy = good source for basics & seasonal items. Shop judiciously to avoid "teen" items.

Eddie Bauer, Macy's & Gap = check for quality & hold out for sales.

Avoid Hollister, Anchor Blue, & Pacific Sunwear.

A/E & A/F - mixed, try to avoid for now. Focus on getting pieces for your mature wardrobe & integratie items from these places as you gain confidence.

Be comfortable and be yourself. Hollister, ON, A&F and PacSun might be to "young" for your age. Maybe have a more mature sense of dress.

Go to the mall and people watch to find out what's fashionable in your area, decide what you like and make it your own! But don't ever tuck anything in that's visible.

If youre not afraid of what people think of you like me, I would go with like casual American Eagle, its cheap compared to some stores like Hollister (rip-off), like a good T-shirt, shorts and flip-flops, maybe a necklace too.......

though we don't have most of those stores where I live, so I can't tell you which is best, but my bf is 30 and he wears lots of Old Navy...it's young looking, but preppy enough to be mature looking also.

just go with what you feel most comfortable in :)
Have fun shopping!!
