Two of them stand out. The Replacements in 1983 was undoubtedly the worst show I've ever seen. They were so drunk they could barely stand up, they spent half the time tuning their instruments, they screwed up almost all of their songs, and the set was - maybe - an hour. It basically turned me from being a fan into a non-fan. Total disrespect for their own music and for the audience. Some people say that's the point with the Replacements, I say if you're too drunk to play your own music stay home.

Second worst was George Jones in 1979 or so, on a country music package tour. He was high on something, couldn't remember all the lyrics to his songs and kept tilting his guitar sideways to look at it for some reason. Maybe just because it was shiny. The difference though was that he was really funny. It was entertaining for just that reason. That was the tour where he ended up doing a show where he sang all the songs in a Donald Duck voice (I am NOT kidding) and went to rehab the day after.

I have seen half a million bad punk bands and amateur bands whose names I have forgotten over the years whose shows stunk, but of the professional performers that I've seen those were the two worst.

I have a couple first was Dokken on the Monsters Of Rock Tour in 1988, maybe it's that Metallica went on before them and tore the place down or what but they just sucked. I mean even fracking Kingdom Come was better and that's pretty sad. Then came Marilyn Manson/Clutch at a club in NJ, Clutch just completely destroyed Manson it wasn't even funny. Finally Anthrax/Life Of Agony/ Deftones not that the bands sucked or anything I just got kicked in the head by some crowd surfing idiot( was fun to drag his dumb a** down and stomp on him once or twice though), and had to try to enjoy the rest of the show with a concussion, which really just sucked, show was great though.

The Police. Seattle, 2007 I waited almost 25 years to finally see them and felt like I were taken. don't get me incorrect, they sounded super...yet there became NO connection with the objective audience and Sting gave the impression to be cemented to his spot on the point. Plus, we've been compelled to hearken to the band of Sting's son as an beginning act...they weren't stable by potential of any potential. i'm sorry to hearken to that Elvis Costello became undesirable for you. I easily have seen him thrice and that they are all in my appropriate 10 performances of all time.......i ask your self what became up that nighttime?

skid row/guns `n` roses many years ago...it was outside & it had rained all day the day before, so it was a mucky, horrible mess everywhere...there were an insufficient number of porta johns, so u had to wait forever in line & when it was finally your turn, u entered to discover that it was overflowing with human waste, which was also leaking outside the toilet & mixing with the mud to create an indescribable mess...it started raining again while skid row were playing, so they cut their set short...while guns `n` roses were on stage, people were throwing various objects, including bottle rockets, onto the stage...as usual, axl rose became irate & started yelling at the audience, then stormed off the stage, leaving slash to entertain the agitated crowd as best he could...not one of the best shows i`ve ever been to!!!
