I was having problem with my display driver. I installed a fresh windows. Now I don't see the hibernate option in power properties. What may be the cause? is windows not installed properly? I disabled the graphics driver due to some display problem. is that may be the cause?

Try opening Power Options Properties in Control Panel. Go to Hibernate tab. Be sure there is a check in the box for "Enable Hibernation".
