Vaccinations are based on natural selection, and so is evolution (along with Malthusian concept of competition). We deal with genetics all of the time now. So how is the concept of evolution of species still in question? Honest question.

Ignorance and stubbornness.

"Vaccinations aren't really natural selection because its not like humans with certain disease preventive genes are safer than those with vaccinations and will have a better chance of survival/reproduction. Vaccinations dont affect the species overall they just affect an individual. However genetics are sound proof that evolution is correct."

I believe the reference was to diseases evolving.

"Maybe you need to be evolved out of existence?

IS that what you are saying. You lost me at Malthusian.. whatever it was.

Um, how about you go to India without your polio vacc or Africa w/o those malaria pills...

and let me know... what you come up with... "

Wait wait! Are you actually arguing with him by saying you didn't understand what he said? omg this is great lol!

Evolved out of existance? That makes no sense for a single organism, I wish people arguing against evolution would at least bother to understand hte concept. Likewise the other way, but I see that less often.

And as for your second point about going to India or Africa, besides showing your ignorance, those comments had nothing to do with the question, they did not make a point either way.

"Because if people admit that evolution is true they lose the only thing that is concrete in there lifes that they can always turn to in a time of need; the bible.
The bible says god created man. if we're all just smart monkeys then that brings all that god teaches in the bible into question. People spend countless time studying the teachings of the bible. For their entire lives to be shattered because a few men think we don't come from god is not a plausible concept for them. "

So, basically your answer is that they are afraid of what might be true, so they take comfort in their ignorance?

Niiiice.

Not that I'm trying to discredit evolution, but vaccinations rather fight against evolution than for it. Vaccinating large portions of society increases survival rates of numerous people that may or may not have been the fittest. It is like throwing a "get out of jail free" card into the genetic lottery. Eventually, as the entire human race starts receiving vaccinations, we will all be on a level playing field, and evolution will continue in its original course.

Evolution is still in question because (I think, not sure) we have not received concrete evidence that radical mutations can produce an entirely new species (missing link). However, I'm no geneticist. Mostly, evolution is in question because it neatly provides another excuse to discredit religion, which makes some religious folk squirm.

Evoution does not explain everything. If through natural selection and survival of the fittest all old forms of life are wiped out ,man is the advanced form of life, how man and monkey co exist? If evoluition is correct there should me man only (no animals) in this world. The oldest unicellular and out of date micro organisms should not co exist.

Vaccination is not based on theory evolution. It is based on theory that immunity can be created by injecting dead germs/virus or culture into living animals/human beings.

get real...mother nature addresses the balance, it is mans natural inclination to prolong life to the last possible minute and there is nothing wrong with that my skeleton may be worn out at 70yrs but i want to live till i am 500yrs old or more.
when the population is outstripping the food supply ,,we have floods in india and huricanes in america and earthquakes in japan and china to re dress the balance.we are looking like governments in particular the staistics office

Theory of evolution is 100percent correct no one is opposite it and survival of fittest is essence of evolution so is used vaccination.even religion testimony it,as god has created world for humen to explore and evolution is one of its proof, but still the great ocean of truth lies discovered before us.
