One of the primary reasons for the demise of the Roman and Norse mythologies was to consolidate the gods of everything conceivable into one monotheistic God to handle all things. Therefore the Judea-Christian God of today is Master Of His Universe and ours.
May my words please you Mistress.

God exists for anything that is living and breathing.
Human beings are the only living species that has consciousness.
FYI: God did not put lawn gnomes or subway on earth. We did.. which in itself means that it is not from God, but from man

God's hand is evident in all things in nature and indirectly in all things created, invented, discovered or synthesized by mankind. Kind of like being the executive producer to go along with the written and directed by credits...this applies across the board.
Except, of course, when it comes to lawn gnomes-they are the Devil's own handiwork! :)

It really depends on how you look at it. No I don't believe there is a god for everything, but I do believe there is more than one god. If you've ever looked at anything on ancient religions and their gods, you'd see that one god was often called by many different names. This could easily translate into One god, called by many different names, being in control of many different aspects of life. But Its still seperated among them.

Consider- that which we have yet to learn how to understand is en masse called god, and since every-thing must have come from some-thing, then it-god is in or part of every-thing, so we are all it-god, and we like to name things, so isn't it all aspects of the same thing?
