The Cubs always have some reason to get their fans in a frenzy in the off season (big signings) to get their fans buzzing and to get pre-season ticket sales going strong. Are the Yankees, with the signing of Clemens, trying to get their fans pumped up again, trying to sell more tickets, only to leave them crying in October?

"transforming into the Yankees" should not be approximately spending funds as much because it is approximately triumphing and honoring the interest. The Yankees existed in the past 2004, in order that which you already know. Quiz time! Of each and all of the communities to have won the international sequence, which team had the utmost payroll? (hint: it isn't any longer the Yankees.)

I don't think the Yankees will win the series in at least 20 years butt there not going to have a 99 year old curse. The cubs are the cubs and they will never win.

Um, how can you even ask that question. The Yanks maybe trying to pump up fans, but the Yanks always find a way to make it into October. Unlike the Cubbies, who have only been in the postseason 2 of the past 8 years. And lemme do my count right.......Yanks 27 World Titles.....Cubbies....2 World Titles. That's all that's got to be said.

I agree with the Beaner. The Yankees management sucks. The Yankees are a bunch of over paid pansies.

Given that the Cubs spent $300 million in the last offseason, one might ask that question in reverse.
