I heard gas was going up to $4.00 a gallon in the US. Is that true?

Happens every year at this time of year, a little before everyone takes summer vacations. Greedy oil companies and government taxes!!!!! But then it will drop again in fall / winter when people stay home.

Yes. It's already at $3.50 a gallon (for 87 octane). I'm in Southern California.

Yep. And we're supposed to have a national day of protest on May 15th. Nobody is supposed to buy gas on that day as a protest to these greedy MFers.

thats the number the press is kicking around - I'm thinking some oil company hotshot threw it out there to gauge the reaction and see if he can get away with it or maybe to prep us for the event I'm not sure
