i'll be moving to san diego soon for school at SDSU. i need advice on where to live? i'll be moving with my friend, so we will split the rent and utilities bills. which area/community should i live in that's safe, have decent rent. being a student, i won't have much money for rent. so something affordable for students. thank you

anywhere north of Highway 8 - Allied Gardens, Del Cerro,
San Carlos; even La Mesa, Santee or El Cajon

San Diego is very expensive, so you'll probably want somewhere safe, nice, and cheap.

PB is nice and you can get a studio or small apartment there for not too much money.

University City is very nice, but it's pretty expensive.

The cheapest places are pretty far away and not too nice, such as Golden Hill, Encanto, Jamacha, and Otay.

Good luck!

Ohhh to be honest everything here in San Diego is really expensuve but the place i would recommend would be Pacific Beach! Its a great University city and theres soo much you can do there! BUt... once again its kinda expensive, but worth it!!!

If you want to be near the clubs & beach I suggest finding a place in Bankers Hill, Hillcrest, Old Town. The trolley is close in case you need to take the trolley to school or just to downtown! If you are looking for anywhere thats ok & inexpensive...try Spring Valley, La Mesa, El Cajon....these have their bad areas but they have decent neighborhoods.

SDSU area is outrageously expensive-good luck finding anything decent. Keep your valubles locked up.
But-
40,000 students; 10,000 are hot female coeds-you did well to pick SDSU!
