Well I was washing my car yesterday, and all of a sudden, a huge chunk of paint peeled right off! Looks kinda ugly..... So can anyone give me a ball park idea of how much it will be to paint my hood? I am not looking to match the color of the car, so i've decided that the color black wouldn't look too bad. Best answer get's 10 big one's!

I left out the fact that I wish to actually go to a business and have it done for me! Keep in mind, I don't need to paint the WHOLE car..... just the hood!

The shop I managed would have set you back $250.00 for a clear coat color matching paint job so if you just want to paint it black with no clear coat it should probably run less than that although the paint peeling maybe a problem for the shop to paint correctly....sounds like it would have to be stripped and prepped for a good job which might cost a little more in labor. Take it to a few bodyshops in your area and get some estimates.....Good luck, Paul

That won't even be $100. Matter of fact, you can probably do it for less than $75. Go to an auto paint store and explain what you are doing and they'll fix you up.
