I want an exhaust system for the car it has a 3.8 motor and I dont want that whiny sound although its not going to sound as good as the V8 I have.Any advice?I am replacing the converter as well.This all depends if this car ever runs again.Which now the battery is getting over charged and leaking acid.

The car quits running for no reason.It seems to do it only when its hot.This car was a Valentines Day present that I DID NOT want but now I am stuck with it.I have an 86 Z28 that needs a valve job and runs great.The 97 has lots of electrical issues someone rigged the slternator to be self exciting.Go figure.Any more ideas.I love Flowmasters I just wasnt sure what series.I do have a clue about cars so please feel free to chat with me and thanks for the help.

The 2 chamber flowmasters will sound good on a 3.8L , I know I had one, and used the same muffler on a 5.7L LS1. What else is wrong with it? Edit your question if you want to know more.

Well, lets see.
I love the sound of Flowmaster[tm] mufflers on ANY engine.
The battery is boiling because it has a bad cell in it and can't use all the voltage the alternator is supplying to it.
(It's kind of hard to explain)
Buy a new battery.
