Is it like high school, where freshmen is very easy and then sophmore year gets a little harder and so on?

Or is it just difficult from the beginning?

I didn't find that to be the case in high school, but college varies. Some people, particularly those who weren't well prepared for college in high school, find freshman year to be the toughest until they get used to college work. Others do fine their first year, and then have more trouble later on as they start to take more specialized coursework in their majors.

I think it depends on how you have your schedule. In high school the schedule is already made up for you. But in college, you have the option of making your own schedule. The first two years usually consist of your G.E. classes and then the last two years consist of your major classes. My first two years were hard and then the last two were still hard, but they were enjoyable because I was learning things about what I majored in so the classes were interesting.

Generally, the first two years are the easiest. That is when you are taking your general requirements. The classes tend to be broader based and less in depth.
In your junior and senior years, you are in the upper level classes for your major and they get tougher.

It should be that way, but it depends on the classes. If you're progressing at the rate you should then it will be gradual but still noticable.
