It depends on the distance between the parents. If the parents live in the same school district, there is a good chance joint physical custody will happen but is dependent on the situation, too. However, it depends on the distance between the parents if they live in different school districts. If the distance is more than a 100 miles or more, it will be long weekends, school breaks, and summer vacations in most cases. If the child will be entering kindergarten in the fall, the child custody order must be modified if the distance between the parents blocks the child from attending a single school for the entire school year. However, the most important thing is that the entire situation is dependent on state law and the individual judge. However, before doing anything, I recommend talking to an attorney for more advice.

If the parents really cared about the kid, then they would work it out between themselves to make sure the kid didn't have to bounce back and forth between schools. Too many times, parents are just concentrated on getting back at one another by using the kid as bait. One parent figures that having joint custody will piss the other parent off and so they do it, not for the kids sake.

No the child should stay at the one school.Swapping schools all the time is notfeasible and the child would find it hard tocope with.Plus the child would get different results. And friendships pose a problem.Better to arrange holiday visits.
