I think elephants don't hatch out of anything.. And Batgirl isn't a name that a baby elephant would be proud of.. I think you should go back to your colouring books and crayons.

"Batgirl"? It's just hatched - so make sure it is a "SHE" first. If it's a male and you name it Batgirl, it WILL cause irrepairable psychological damage and you DON'T want a psychotic elephant in your living room.
Batgirl sounds ok to me.
How about "Angelina"? "sushi"? "Thumbellina"? "Bubbles"?
