hopefully they keep Clemens away from that kid. It can only be detrimental, and stunt Hughes growth to have Clemens coming around all cocky and smelling like Scotch. I predict that this is the last time that The Rocket gets away with this BS he pulls.

Granted the Yanks are desperate for pitchers, but Jesus, 28 mil.?

Hughes should be kept around, to send him back without a fair shake would bruise his ego. He should get a shot to pitch a few times.

He gets to go back to AAA and pursue the development that the Yankees had originally wanted for him. Don't worry, one of Mussina, Pettite or Clemens will break down before the season is over and Hughes can come back if he is recovered.

Clemens has a lot of baseball knowledge that Hughes can beneffit from, unless he gets sent back down to AAA to develop. The presense of Clemens can do nothing but help him. One of the reasons they wanted him was to be a leader.

And i think "Ron Obvios" forgot about Soriano.

Clemens will not affect anything as far as the Yankees are concerned, look forward to another losing year, and yes with a payroll as they have anything short of a World Series is a losing year for them!

The Yankees haven't developed a meaningful player since Jeter. The kid's trade bait for another high priced failure.
