I would use WD40 it is great on stains. I use it all the time when cleaning houses and offices. It is a good repellent too.

I also have a stainless microwave. above my stove. I use Murphy's Soap, just a little bit diluted will do the job. I also use it in my bug spray that I make up myself, and on furniture. Hoyakins

wipe with stainless steel cleaner the stuff you find in a auto store. then after cooking on the stovetop, wipe down with a cloth.

Ammonia. It cuts right threw the grease, and cheap to buy. Lemon Ammonia is a little easier on the nose.
