I have a nVIDIA GeForce 6150, whats my Nvidia nForce 430 for?

I know the geForce is for graphix, is the nForce the same thing?

The nForce 430 is the south bridge chip. It contains the controller for 4 SATA ports, RAID and GLAN. The 6150 north bridge chip does not have these.

nForce 430 is a motherboard chipset.
