probably bad fuel pump or clogged fuel filter. try replacing fuel filter. that is a cheap ez fix. see what happens. also u can hear fuel pump kick in when u turn on car. see if it is still working. i gotta imagine this is one old car if it has a carb.

i seriously doubt you have dirt in the lines. the first thing would be check your fuel filter which is probably located in your fuel line or in your carb, where your fuel line hooks up to your carb. i would simply disconnect your fuel line at the carb, turn your engine over and check to see if fuel is coming out your fuel line if it is not , this simple check could mean your fuel pump is not working or your inline filter needs to be replaced. if fuel does come out , your pump is working , next check filter inside carb.

i agree with the bad fuel pump. Or need a new filter. Some models have an "in line filter"

Fuel filter, Fuel pump, fuse for the fuel pump, gas tank empty (gauge could be bad), broken/loose fuel line, clogged fuel port in carb.........

could be a few things, try the fuel filter first, then try the fuelpump.
