I've taken four years of science, math, english and I have played baseball all four years as well. I haven't done much community service other than volunteering at a few events (i.e festivals, marathons, etc)

I don't know a lot about those colleges but keep in mind there are plenty of colleges you've probably never heard of that you might love. Check out the book called "Colleges That Change Lives" by Loren Pope. It's tagline is something like "A Colleges for B Students."

A lot of universities are known by high school students looking for undergrad studies, but many not so well known (by the general public) liberal arts schools are known by very prestigious graduate schools. For instance, how many colleges are you familiar that don't have a Division I or Division II football team? Would that make a school any better than another?

Just think carefully about your college decisions and consider whether or not you've really explored all of your options.

If your GPA started out low and improved as you went through high school, then they might consider that you have matured since your early years and can now succeed, so they may accept you. If the low grades are current, then you will probably have to look at a slightly less prestigious school. There are a lot of other good options out there.

I know someone that has a 2.3 gpa that got into a state university becuase her sat score was high. But those are great colleges that you listed, so its always good to try to get in to those colleges, or else you'll end up regretting it for the rest of your life. Dont be scared to apply. You never know =]

P.S. I do think that you have potential to get in.

Well it depends. Did you have a lot of after school activities? in clubs? and did you do out of school activities? Colleges don't look primarily at grades. They look for people that will be successful in life.

Doubt it, but who cares? Go to a state school and do well. If you pick the right major you will be in great shape!

I think you can! Think positive but don't limit yourself, be confident and apply. The worst they can say is no! But: Go Gators!
