LOL......I think everyone could benefit with some research, and not accept blindly what their govt feeds them through the media.
I was around in the 80's and remember the USA sending arm s to Iraq (which the Iraqi people ...aka Saddam... used along with gas to eliminate their own people)..just because at that time the USA had a beef with the Ayatollah Khomeni in Iran, and thought they would use Irans neighbours in Iraq by supplying Iraq with arms and money ....Did they seriously not realise that one day this would come back and bite the USA in the butt ??? They are using military equipment that the USA supplied them with in the first place in the 1980's.
The USA suffered terribly in 9/11 and my heartfelt sympathy goe's out to you all,it should never have happened, I think in years to come , alot of things will be uncovered concerning 9/11.....what a tragedy....I would say please do your own research, and look at what happened in the 80's in Iran and Iraq, and the USA involvement...it has come back along with America's leniency towards Saudi Arabia to now haunt the USA....Peace to you all :-)

I don't see your humor. A better question is, "why do liberals try to group us all together?" Most of my fellow conservatives have not taken to the term "neocon" and just really don't care. It is not a term of endearment to me.
There are two types of conservatives: fiscal conservatives and social conservatives. We are not all the same. I personally don't care about abortion that much, but I am most definitely for a smaller, more limited government. The "neocon" term is mostly centered on the economic and foreign policy aspects.
As a party, right now we're going through a rough stretch in which we've seen our President abandon our less-government fiscal policies while driving up the deficit. Then he tries to patch things up by pressing his social agenda, and we see through it.
Oh, and insulting a group you aimed your question at is not a good way to illicit a response.

I think it’s hysterical that so many of these neocons are claiming that they are not neocons.
Irving Kristol, the “godfather” of the neoconservative movement, is quite proud of the movement. The PNAC group does not repudiate its neoconservative beliefs.
The cite below is to Irving Kristol’s explanation of neoconservatism, with commentary.
Known neocons include Cheney, Wolfowitz, Perle, Rumsfeld, Bolton, William Kristol (Weekly Standard), Armitage and more recently, Bush.

Yes I do. Many of us bring facts and legitimate solutions to what are America's (Both parties) problems and our future.
As do many Democrats.
I find that in all the posts you do, I have only heardd you spread mindless hate, which probably embarasses the folks you pretend to side with.
Try this one time. Have a thought or a point or a fact, anything that resembles that you actually thought about something.
Can you do that?

Actually, do you even know what a neo-con is?
Honestly I have no idea since the term is being thrown about without any kind of definition.
The conservatives I have seen on the board are not from any kind of New conservative view point I can see.
Of course, the Liberals out here are tossing around terms and accusations like children throwing a tantrum.
Please stop acting like you are in high school and actually post a question that makes some sense please.
Thank You
