Chances are very slim. You can reduce your chances of getting toxic shock syndrome by changing your tampon frequently, at least every four to eight hours. Consider using the lowest absorbency tampon you can and try to alternate using tampons and pads whenever possible.

substitute it at lunch. you're no longer meant to placed on a tampon for better than 6-8 hours. it could provide you TSS whether it somewhat is not any longer in all possibility, yet only in case. additionally, if will start to sniff relatively undesirable and could no longer be as absorbent to it could in all possibility leak. Tampons could additionally make cramps worse so which you would be able to in all possibility ought to bypass to the nurse for midol. (i'm not sure if it somewhat is a project or no longer, yet only uncase you would be uncomfortable with it)

Over night is usually safe. But I always change over to a pad for night hrs. TSS is based on absorbency. Too much absorbency with not enough flow can trigger TSS. Go with the lowest absorbency possible. It should give you thorough knowledge on the instructions sheet inside your tampon box.

I would say u can. TSS is caused by bacteria that warmth and the blood is causing, all the brands say that if it hurts to take it out leave it in longer. Go ahead leave it in (PS thats only one hour more than the 4-8 hr guideline)

I doubt it..... but you will surely need to use the bathroom inside of that 9 hours so change it then. If its an overnight thing.... change on going to bed, on rising and during the night if you wake up for the bathroom.

If I recall correctly, it states right on the inserted info sheet that you should not leave them in for more than eight hours, but I think that is even a long time and unsanitary. I change mine everytime I go to the washroom.

You probably shouldn't wear it for that long; I've heard that the max. ammount of time you should wear it is 8 hours so you're not too far off.
