I had purchased a HP laptop a month ago, and somehow i am facing a problem like it takes at least 20 min. to warm up, means when I hit power button and I start to work something on it, it need 20min to work something. in between I can not do anything. If I hit anything it saws processing and start late. Also my laptop takes some more time to shut down compare to before. What should i do?

abhay_3 is right, do as he says.
Also if your laptop came w/ little RAM (512Mb or less), consider increasing it now while RAM is pretty cheap. Your integrated graphics could be sharing as much as 128Mb.

If u have Windows, you should run the command "msconfig" and in the dialog box that pops up select the "start up" tab, uncheck most of the applications there (leaving the antivirus program checked), click OK and restart the system to see a marked improvement in its performance.

Use the restore discs, get rid of all the crap you installed, and next time do NOT download free software. Install AVAST antivirus AND Spybot Search and Destroy to keep the junk off your hard drive.

20 minutes? That's way too long! You should take that thing back where you got it from and tell them to give you one that works.
